The particular breed of elegance that graced the Elie Saab haute couturespring 2012 runway show was the kind that was born of the 1950s and’60s.The kind you’d associate with icons like Grace Kelly, the kind that’s bothdelicate yet coolly powerful.
Saab, as he is usually wont to do, sectioned his parade of floating gownsinto blocks of colour. This time it was a delicious palette fitting to thevintage theme; a palette of cupcake frostings and candies, from lemon yellow topeppermint to a fairy floss pink.
